PRPD is pleased to announce that the District has received grant funding to build Oak Creek Park in Paradise. Based on public input received between 2019 and 2022 the District has identified hiking, biking, and walking trails to be among the most requested amentities for new park development. Oak Creek Park, approximately 20-acres, will feature a series of looping, natural surface trails for biking, walking, and hiking, picnic areas, drinking water fountain, educational kiosks, and parking area.
This project is expected to take up to two years to complete and volunteers are welcome and appreciated! At this time PRPD estimates the following rough timeline estimate (subject to change):
November 2022 - Site cleanup and tree planting
August 2023 - Construction begins
June 2024 - Park grand opening
More to come. Stay tuned and check back for updates as we make progress toward your beautiful new park!
